Deep cherry red. Sweet with fruit and oak spice on the nose. Oak evident on the palate, the tannins are compact and dry. Not as much easy pleasure as the village wine but firmer and more promising for a longer life. Has both density and finesse. Could do with just a little more flesh. (JH)
