Score 97/100 · Drink 2010-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Feb 2023

Still somewhat youthful, the 2004 Bandol Rouge Cuvee Cabassaou shows just a hint of bricking at the rim. Almost entirely old-vine Mourvèdre, it still shows hints of cedar and vanilla on the nose, backed by leather and mixed berries. Full-bodied, creamy and lush in texture, this enormously impressive effort is drinking at its peak now and should continue to do so for at least the rest of the decade.
