50% new oak. Barrel sample. Less perfumed than the Chambolle Charmes, for now at least. More oak spice and toasty character. But still a core of cherry fruit. There’s more grip here and at this point a drier tannin framework but it is all still to come. In a bit of a straitjacket at the moment but will surely open out to greater beauty. (JH)
