Tasting notes
Dark red. Redcurrant, fruity black pepper and an exotic hint of apricot on the nose. Lush and peppery, with a nicely restrained sweetness and a pliant, layered texture. I'd drink this on the early side before it loses its fruit.

There are 200 cases of the 2003 Zinfandel Turley Estate (15.2 % alcohol). Grown on an old river bed filled with cobbles, this supple-textured, round, easygoing, hedonistic Zinfandel offers loads of briery, peppery, berry fruit and leafy, herbal notes, a succulent style, and a gorgeous glycerin- and fruit-endowed finish. Far less powerful and concentrated than the epic 2002, it should drink well for 4-5 years. (Release date 4/05) Tel. (707) 963-0940; Fax (707) 963-8683
