Tasting notes
Noteworthy as the "25th Anniversary Selection," the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a medium to deep garnet color and expressive notes of crème de cassis, baked cherries, blackberry preserves and cigar box with suggestions of dried Provence herbs, new leather, garrigue and smoked meats. Medium to full-bodied with a taut structure of firm, grainy tannins and lively acidity, it has a great core of exuberant blue and black fruits with loads of savory layers coming through on the long finish.

Dark crimson. Very sweet, ‘cocoa’ nose. Rollandian? Syrupy palate. Just too sweet to be appetising, I’m afraid. I’m sure their grapes are wonderful but it would be great to taste their produce picked a little earlier. (JR)
