2023 Cotes du Rhone Reserve

Bottle weight 406 g. 40% Grenache Blanc, 30% Viognier, 20% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne. Picked from 22 August. No oak. Winemaker Pierre Perrin. RS 0.3 g/l. 450 stores. Very pale. An impression of sweetness even though the RS is only 0.3 g/l. Crisp, too, and possibly a welcome change from the usual varietals? Well balanced for early drinking. Floral. (JR)
