Tasting notes
The 2021 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has an open bouquet with yellow plum, jasmine and light hazelnut scents that gain vigour in the glass. The palate is very harmonious with touches of orange pith and lemon peel, a killer line of acidity and tangible mineralité and energy on the persistent finish. What a superb Meursault Charmes! Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes Dessus stands out this year, unwinding in the glass with notes of sweet yellow orchard fruit mingled with waxy citrus, pear and pastry. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, it's racy and tensile, with excellent density and a long, saline finish.
The 2021 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has an attractive bouquet with linden, grilled hazelnut and light chalk dust scents that unfurl with time in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a slightly tangy opening, fine acidity and much more character than the Meursault-Blagny with a persistent, orange rind and marmalade-tinged finish. Very fine.
