Score 17/20 · Drink 2027-2033, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Feb 2025

They have 1 ha in this appellation (used to be part of Dom Newman), the vines 70 years old and certified organic. This is the fourth vintage of this wine. 50% whole bunch and 10% new oak. Bottled December 2024.   Mid crimson. A little darker fruited than the Halinard, slightly more herbal and stony. Even a touch floral, with the whole bunch influence more obvious even if the fruit is fully ripe. Succulent, fresh and lithe on the palate, the tannins refined and finely dry, then a rush of fresh dark fruit on the finish. Absolutely delicious combination of depth and freshness. (JH)
