Tasting notes
Remoissenet’s Montrachet is always a favourite of ours. The 2023 is being aged in exclusively one-year-old oak, which is already beautifully integrated with the wine. Mineral and citrus notes mingle with riper, sweeter tones, soft spice and creamy complexity. The palate is rich and long, with a weight of gorgeous stone-fruit that fills the mouth, expanding and then tightening up, with a pithy grip and a long finish full of grilled nuts and honey. There’s saline and mineral power that underlines the whole thing – a serious wine that will only offer more with time. Four barrels were produced in 2023.
