0.88 ha (2.17 acres). Mid cherry. Deep, intense black and dark-red fruits. Pungent dark raspberry, black and red cherries. Elegant violet florals and something quite meaty and butch. Complex. Very assertive and arresting. Spicy intensity and a firm structure balanced by lovely, fresh, zingy acidity. Top wine! (MH)

The 2020 Echezeaux Grand Cru Les Rouges is one of the deepest, most concentrated wines in the range. Mingling aromas of sweet red berries and cherries with notions of incense, exotic spices and vine smoke, it's full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with rich, powdery tannins, lively acids and a long, resonant finish. All of that intensity of flavor is combined with a very modest alcoholic degree of 13.3%.
