Score 96/100 · Drink 2035-2070, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Aug 2022

From the southeast-facing parts of the JSU, the 2021 Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese is intense but also refined and elegant on the coolish and lemony, even leafy but very delicate and savory nose. Lush and saline on the palate, this is a dense, savory and stimulating Auslese made to be enjoyed in magnums about 15 years from now. The acidity is fine and well embedded into the lush and generous but precise and elegant fruit. Two foudres produced. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP no. 6 22 in July 2022.
