100% whole bunch. These are old vines but they don’t put Vieilles Vignes on the label for the premiers crus, only for the village wines. From 2018 they will give the date of planting on the label. In tank. Mid to deep cherry red. Intense and seductive dark-red fruits, smells rich and intense and there’s an attractive peppery note. Lovely roundness on the palate, the fruit exploding inside the structure of fine tannins and freshness. And that elegant peppery note adding complexity. (JH)
