Score 91/100 · Drink 2023-2033, Neal Martin

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet En Cailleret 1er Cru has a similar bouquet to the 2017 tasted alongside. However, perhaps there is even a little more intensity: white peach, chamomile, crushed stone and a background scent of menthol. The palate is well-balanced and pure, with good concentration, yet the 2017 has more nerve and poise. Still, this is drinking perfectly fine at ten years of age and will probably gift another decade in bottle.
