Medium red. Rather tight medicinal nose hints at cherry, dark berries and licorice, with a slightly medicinal quality. Sweet, supple, broad and concentrated. This has blossomed nicely since I tasted it from barrel, but the wine's medicinal reserve suggests it will gain with a couple more years of bottle aging. Finishes with firm but suave tannins and very good length.

Bright, dark red with ruby highlights. Classic aromas of dark berries, licorice and minerals. Juicy and tight-grained, even youthfully imploded, with a serious structure and a restrained sweetness to the flavors of dark cherry, minerals, violet and licorice. Mounts impressively toward the back, finishing with suave tannins and superb purity. Quintessential Vosne, and built to age.
