50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. Exceptionally deep crimson. Sweet nose with a hint of some non-standard oak. Shame because the fruit was obviously top notch but it has been too tarted up by the oak. Not for me. (JR)

Cru bourgeois. Very dark. Scented but very lightly so. Broad fruit on the front palate then very dry and solid in a four-square Médoc way. Strictly for traditionalists! Not much of 2009’s super ripeness in evidence, but it is dependable. Just a bit inky on the finish. (JR)
