Score 97/100 · Drink 2023-2028, Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

Still very young despite its age, the 1974 Laville-Haut-Brion Blanc is a white that impresses with its dynamic bouquet of pear, white peach, white pepper, mandarin oil, menthol and spices (cardamom). Medium-bodied, the palate is crystalline, pure and delicate, with notes of pear and spices, finishing with a saline and fresh touch. This is a wine of incredible youth that drinks beautifully at age 49.
