50% new oak. Barrel sample. The oak is much less obvious here than on the Beaux Monts. The dark fruit is pure and lovely, refined. Super-pure on the palate too, with real finesse and length. The tannins are paper fine, like layers of paper. Firm but finely balanced between structure and fruit. (JH)
