The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Murgers 1er Cru showed more reduction on the nose compared to the Aux Thorey, although intuition tells me that with age there will be more fruit intensity here. The palate is fresh and tensile on the entry, again, beautifully sculpted tannins, saline and almost sorbet-like towards the finish that fans out beautifully. This will be quite awesome.

More structured than the Aux Thorey, the 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers opens in the glass with aromas of sweet berries, spices, cassis and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with powdery structuring tannins that assert themselves on the finish, it will require more patience.
