Tasting notes
The 2014 Auxey-Duresses Rouge has a pretty red cherry and orange sorbet scented bouquet with hints of wild mint developing with aeration. The palate is well balanced with fleshy red berry fruit on the entry, gentle grip with red plum, raspberry and a touch of soy on the grippy finish. Drink now and over the next three or four years. Tasted at Flint Wines' Value Burgundy tasting.

Bright crimson. Quite rich and polished on the nose. Racy and lively. Lots of confidence. And potential. QGV (JR)
The 2014 Auxey Duresses Rouge has a crisp blackcurrant and briary-scented bouquet. The palate is crisp and chalky on the entry with good backbone here for a village cru, and a brisk and structured finish. Drink this over the next 3-4 years.
55-year-old vines. Mid crimson. Big and full blown on the nose. Sappy and friendly. Lots of structure. This may be GV . (JR)
