Tasting notes
Bright ruby. Impressively complex, expressive nose offers a seductive bouquet of cherry-cola, cassis, violet, smoky bacon and minerals. Spicy black and blue fruit flavors show noteworthy depth and energy, with a floral pastille quality emerging in the glass. Stains the palate and displays a suave blend of richness and energy, finishing with superb lift, cut and sweet persistence.

Vivid ruby. High-pitched aromas of red and dark berry preserve, potpourri and Asian spices, with an intense mineral overtone. Juicy, sharply focused black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors stain the palate but carry no excess weight. Finishes elegant and precise, with outstanding clarity and length.
Meat, veg and black pepper on the nose. Dancing texture and really quite profound. Should make delightful old bones. Lots of fruit and vitality but recognisably Côte Rôtie. Very slightly medicinal. (JR)
