Nicely austere, serious and strict, Olivier Bernstein’s 2022 Mazis-Chambertin offers a full spectrum of dark fruit – with everything from blackberries to baked black cherries – along with hints of liquorice and sweet spice. This is full-bodied with powerful but polished and balanced tannins. Round and creamy oak envelops the vibrant core of fruit, all pointing to the potential of this very young wine over the next decade or so. Remarkable!
