2022 Gevrey Chambertin Les Champeaux

Despite its dark colour and a touch of oak on the nose, Olivier Bernstein’s Premier Cru Les Champeaux offers a silky, elegant touch of dark berries and raspberries with warm spice. The tannins are powerful but well balanced by the concentrated fruit, with freshness thanks to a nerve of acidity, bringing mouth-watering and vibrant red fruit that leads to a long and creamy finish. This is still young of course and needs time in the cellar, look to start cracking into a case in five to six years’ time.
