A Chianti Classico Gran Selezione in all but name: 100% Sangiovese from a single vineyard. Deep ruby with orange tinges. Really backward on the nose with a hint of mulch, but it clearly has depth and is only at the beginning of its evolution. Fine, succulent cherry fruit on the palate with surprisingly soft tannins. That seems to have become the Molino di Grace hallmark, by the way. Plenty of time to develop further, but already quite seductive. And look at that alcohol! (WS)
