Score 96/100 · Drink 2027-2046, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

Cultivated on sandstone, limestone and basalt, spontaneously fermented in 500-liter-oak barrels and aged on the lees for 1.5 years, the 2021 Kirchenstück Forster Riesling GG opens with a deep, rich and intense, yeasty and oaky as well as citrus-scented bouquet. Pure and linear on the palate, this is a rich and powerful, very complex and persistent dry Riesling with a tight structure and a monumental, very long and saline finish with fresh lemon aromas on the aftertaste. It's the finest of the rarest of this stylish domaine in Deidesheim. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2023.
