Tasting notes
From vines planted in 2004, the 2019 Pinot Noir The Pivot Vineyard has a medium ruby color and pure scents of saline, raspberries, tobacco leaves, powdered sugar, licorice and violets. Soft, silky and detailed, it offers perfumed red fruit and a long, ethereal finish. This will be approachable a bit earlier than some of the other 2019s in the Littorai portfolio. 367 cases were made.

A beautiful red and black-fruited nose with fresh and dried flowers, paprika and a delightful hint of nutmeg. Medium-bodied with so much tension and power. The elegant fruit wraps around the structured tannins, accented by subtle spice and sap. This wine leaves you feeling excited.
The 2019 Pinot Noir The Pivot Estate Vineyard is bright and nicely focused. Brilliant aromatics and finely sculpted fruit give the Pivot its taut, nervy feel. Another few years in bottle should help the 2019 soften a bit. There is certainly plenty to look forward to. I very much like the energy here. (AG)
