35-year-old vines from the east-facing vineyards of Les Chenevottes and Les Vergers on clay and limestone soil. Fermentation one-third in French oak barrels and the remainder in stainless-steel tanks. 12 months’ ageing with bâtonnage and malo. Tasted blind. High-toned, mandarin nose. Then a tad bitter on the end. Short. (JR)
