Dominique Laurent purchased four barrels (from three different producers) of 1997 Clos de la Roche. It offers magnificent aromas of hugely ripe red and black fruit, flowers, and mocha. This powerful, chocolate, jellied cherry, and toast-flavored wine conquers the palate with its immeasurable intensity. Full-bodied, broad-shouldered, and extremely well-structured, it also offers an extraordinarily long, pure, and delineated finish. Importer: ???????????

Deep red. Rather singular liqueur-like surmaturite on the nose. Lush and oaky in the mouth, with expressive flavors of tangy red berries, rose petal, mocha and clove. Very long, very suave finish.
