The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has an expressive bouquet with vivacious red berry fruit, plummy, well-defined and showing more freshness and animation than its peers. It seems to lose some of its delineation with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry. It is quite linear and strict, with fine acidity, yet it feels a bit hemmed in toward the finish. I suspect another couple of years in bottle will benefit this wine, just like Les Cras. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, cherries, potpourri and rose petals, the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées is medium to full-bodied, supple and vibrant, with excellent concentration, refined tannins and a long, youthfully firm finish. It's a terrific wine, but it will require patience.
