70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. First bottle: there's an odd mustiness here which could be old oak or could be cork taint. Either way, not worth the risk. Second bottle: fresher and not tainted, though the fruit is dry and oxidative. Seems to be getting older rather than maturing. (RH)

Sweet, toasty with a hit of Ovomaltine. Light and transparent. Sinewy and chewy on the end. (JR)
