Tasting notes
The Cardrona Full Flight Breckenridge Bourbon is one of the oldest age statement bottlings from the ever-popular New Zealand-based fledgling distillery, Cardrona. This seven-year-old whisky, distilled in 2016, spent its full maturation period in a lone Bourbon cask before a mere 401 bottles were filled at cask strength in 2023. It was released as part of a duo with The Cardrona Full Flight Sherry.
The Cardrona Full Flight Sherry is a double-matured cask-strength New Zealand single malt. Released as part of a duo, with Full Flight Breckenridge Bourbon, these are two of the oldest age statement whiskies to date from the ever-popular fledgling distillery. The seven-year-old single malt spent the majority of its maturation period in a González Byass Oloroso Sherry butt before being transferred to a Pedro Ximénez butt for a short finishing period.
