Score 92/100 · Drink 2008-2028, Robert Parker, Dec 2006
The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (only 2,100 cases) exhibits a dense purple color, more obvious tannin, and a more masculine style than the 2003. It’s a bigger wine with additional notes of scorched earth, blueberries, blackberries, and heady cassis. Unlike most 2004 Napa Cabernets, this weighty effort will require some bottle aging. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and consume it over the following two decades. Previously recommended: 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon 20th Anniversary (93+), 2004 Stagliano (89). Tel.
