The 2015 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has a bold and generous but smudged nose that lacks real complexity. The palate is chewy and dense, displaying moderate grip and a very conservative finish that feels a little sterile and tastes of sour cherries. Not my cup of tea. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Deep cherry red. Gorgeous restraint of dark, dusty fruit. Subtly perfumed. Super-elegant, extremely subtle, but all in balance. (JH)
