2006 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru

(50% new oak) Medium red. Complex nose offers red raspberry, rose petal, orange peel and pungent fresh herbs. At once suave and firmly built, with an almost medicinal reserve and a restrained sweetness to its red fruit flavors. Solid and serious but at the same time fine-grained. Quite aromatic and gripping on the end but still a bit youthfully ungiving. This should evolve slowly and positively.
