Tasting notes
Bouchard’s Frédérick Weber has a knack for producing outstanding Chardonnays from the Côte d’Or’s top sites and this one is no exception. It has everything you could ask for in a Premier Cru Puligny-Montrachet – laser-like acidity, lashings of salinity and rich Côte de Beaune orchard fruit flavours. The nose is beautifully scented with Turkish rose and lavender notes. The palate has white apple and mandarin fruit flavours with a lovely mid-palate weight and unctuosity. The finish tightens up giving the wine an amazing streamlined, focused finish that is so vibrant and full of energy. It is excellent.
