Score 90/100 · Drink 2023-2032, Neal Martin, Jan 2023
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, matured in 25% new oak, has a cohesive, gentle bouquet with brambly red fruit and subtle sous-bois scents. Clean and precise. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. The fruit is neatly enmeshed with the oak. With modest depth, the 2021 is slightly granular in texture and has a sapid, quite persistent finish. This charming Gevrey-Chambertin should drink well over the next decade.

From 15 different parcels, 9–40 years old. Mid cherry. Very floral with light red cherries. The fruit is quite consistent (thick coulis), ripe and sustained. Silky, well-knit tannins with forthright amplitude on the finish. (MH)
