Drink 0-0, Neal Martin
The 1997 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a rather caramelly nose, fungal and lacking some freshness. The palate is rustic with a splash of balsamic but it trips over its shoelaces on the finish. Pierre Duroché commented that there are better bottles. Tasted at the Latricières vertical at La Cabotte, London.
About the producer

Domaine Duroche
Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
