Tasting notes
This has a slightly darker fruit profile versus the Clos du Roi, with more earthy notes – a touch more serious perhaps. There is more viscosity on the mid-palate, and the acidity is a little lower. Drinking really well out of the gate, there is the same wonderful mid-palate sweetness as in Audoin’s Clos du Roi.

Cask sample. Light to mid crimson. Vibrant red and dark-red fruit. Perfect balance between crunchy red fruit, fine but definite tannins and mouth-watering acidity. So moreish, and persistent. (JH)
