2021 Givry L'Empreinte

This unique blend of Joblot’s four top cuvées paints a perfect picture of what a Premier Cru from Givry should be like. With 5% Bois Chevaux, 35% Cellier aux Moines, 20% Clos Marole and 35% Servoisine, Empreinte is rich and powerful but beautifully balanced. It has deep red fruit aromas, a touch of darker plum and sweeter strawberry patisserie notes. The minerality on the palate is striking, driven by a linear acidity and silky, mouthwatering tannins. This is medium to full-bodied with great concentration and nice creaminess, helped by the oak. This is serious, with a long sustaining finish. This wine has the power of Clos Marole, the finesse of Servoisine and the bright, youthfulness of Cellier aux Moines. This is beautiful now, but will only get better with a further five to six years in bottle. A Joblot masterpiece!
