2021 Charmes Chambertin

This is a wonderful, delicate Pinot Noir – fine florals mingling with bright and pure fruit on the nose. On the palate there’s a density and energy to the wine’s cherry-rich core, with a framework that shows a notable step up from the Premier Cru Champeaux. Structured and long, the fruit is tart and fresh with a long, mineral and slightly smoky finish. Such perfume and power here. The vines are around 80 years old.
