FINE+RARE, Nov 2022
This is – unsurprisingly – a real contrast to the Chassagne-Montrachet tasted alongside, speaking of its cooler site, yet also the clay soils. The impression is instantly of pure chalk and limey freshness, but there’s a richness here as well – with almost exotic fruit, ripe and generous pineapple. With a decadent honeyed finish, this shows impressive concentration.

Au Pied du Mont Chauve
Au Pied du Mont Chauve is one of the Picard family's labels. The estate produces brilliant-value Burgundy and is one of few producers able to hold back wine for later release.
