Tasting notes

Tasting notes
Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2016

Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru had a very high toned nose with volatile acidity shrouding the kirsch fruit. This just feels overdone. The palate is sweet and tart on the entry, again with some volatile acidity that knocks this grand cru off balance. Bitter on the finish, this was a vexing showing from a wine that showed such promise in barrel. Tasted September 2016.
