Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2023-2030, Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, Oct 2022
70% Albariño, 22% Caiño Blanco and 8% Loureiro. 16-day cool fermentation and then five months in 225-litre French oak and 10 months in foudre. Deep golden colour. Spicy, succulent, and something about this wine reminds me of old-vine Chenin. It opens with the warm, pillowy notes of yeasty brioche, and then explodes into ripe apricots, cobnuts and peach kernel. The finish is filled with nutmeg and clove spice. Absolutely shimmering with acidity; pixelated, fine and so, so good. Long, insistent finish. (TC)
