2013 Biston-Brillette

50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Orange peel and a sort of fresh tangy spiciness to this. Quite an intense nose. Quite lovely start, more orange, satsuma, clove and cinnamon. Quincy fruit and not defined by acidity and tannins even though it's tightly contained by both. Dry spicy finish, almost exotic, dusty, like a north African souk. Real interest here. (TC)
