2015 Angeli Syrah

Made from 100% Syrah fermented with 50% whole clusters, the 2015 Syrah Angeli offers terrific, cool-climate-like notes of plums, blackberries, crushed rocks and black pepper. Full-bodied, seriously concentrated, tight and firm with integrated acidity and ample background structure, it doesn't offer much pleasure today, but it has potential. Forget bottles for 3-4 years and enjoy over the following decade. While the white l’Avion was slightly head scratcher, these are some of the best wines to date from Stolpman Vineyards.
