The ultra-delicate 2020 Riesling Ayler Kupp Kabinett No. 8 is dominated by apple and peach, with just enough citricity to serve for brightness that helps balance its unapologetic sweetness. The combination of that refreshing brightness with an overtly creamy texture is quite uncanny as well as delightful. Hints of brown spices and a saliva-liberating pinch of salt add to the wine’s finishing appeal.

Very cool and reserved with mint and basil notes, this is a very elegant Kabinett with plenty of wet-stone minerality and a long, super-clean finish with only a hint of natural grape sweetness. Drink now.
The nose of the Kupp Fass 8 impresses with a generous expression of fruit including local as well as more exotic notions. While its Kabinett siblings from the same stable have chosen to go down the smooth and easy path, this Kabinett expresses its Grosse Lage status with quite a bit more gusto, using invigorating acidity and a subtle mineral touch to support delicious notes of apple, citrus fruit and even a hint of pineapple.
