1998 Jones Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals that vintage's austere, lean style. It displays excellent cedar and black fruits in the nose, and flamboyant plum, blueberry and mineral characteristics on the attack, but then closes down. It is more elegant and less concentrated than the layered, persistent 1999. It will drink well over the next decade.
