Tasting notes
Greenish straw. A bit, but not massively, deeper than the village 2008. More solidity rather than more charm or subtlety. Maybe it’s just yet to show its mettle? A little warm on the end. (JR)

Deepest straw with greenish notes. Savoury and the nose quite evolved. Big and bold – not the most refined example. A bit robust and blustering. Jacques Carillon suggests you drink 2009 before 2008. (JR)
A green fruit, lemon zest and wet stone suffused nose precedes energetic, intense and beautifully delineated middle weight flavors brimming with a fine minerality on the driving, even explosive finish that is supported by a firm acid spine. I very much like this as there is a lovely sense of both tension and finesse that contribute to the near perfect balance. In a word, terrific. *Outstanding*
Purer aromas of citrus fruits, stone and spices; good mineral lift contributes to the clean impression. A step up in purity and intensity on the palate too, with vibrant orange, peach and crushed stone flavors showing a lovely combination of firmness and ripeness. The long, tactile finish features an intriguing iodiney, saline quality and very good grip. An excellent showing.
