2020 Corton Clos des Fietres

The 100% whole-bunch Corton Clos des Fiètres is powerful and rustic, in all the right ways – in short, everything we like in a Corton! This has an excellent, vibrant, red-purple colour, with similarly expressive aromas of violets and plums. This is seriously big, but with incredible freshness. The tannins are quite muscular, with outstanding concentration on the mid-palate, with layer upon layer of dark red fruit. The finish is nicely austere and will need a good 10 years’ cellaring to come out of its shell.
