Tasting notes
Unwinding in the glass with notes of raspberries, rose petals, exotic spices and orange peel, the 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village is medium to full-bodied, supple and layered, with a lively core of fruit, velvety tannins and a bright, precise finish. This is a fine cuvée in the making.

The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village was a little sullen when I tasted the barrel sample, offering broody black fruit and quite a strong marine influence plus a touch of black olive. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit, quite Morey-like in terms of structure, leading to a more austere finish than some of its peers at the moment. Will need time.
Firm reduction renders the nose impossible to assess today. Otherwise there is good volume to the sleek delicious and refined medium-bodied flavors that possess very good depth and persistence on the youthfully austere finale. This is a quality Vosne villages and well worth checking out. (Drink starting 2027) 89-92
