2019 Charmes Chambertin

Already bottled. Quite dark purplish crimson. Expressive, savoury nose. Then really rather seductive sweet fruit married to perfectly balanced freshness. This is not the most sophisticated wine but it certainly delivers pleasure. So effusive is the fruit, you could actually drink it quite early but it would probably be wiser to wait for it to develop a bit more subtlety. Big boned. (JR)
